Members of the Keighley and District Local History Society were among the guests invited to today’s opening of the new Keighley Civic Centre.
The centre was opened by Princess Anne, The Princess Royal, at a ceremony in the refurbished centre.
The centre will be home to a museum focusing on policing, particularly in the Police’s use of forensic science, over the ages.
The centre houses many different facilities including : Police Contact Point, Museum, Bar, Restaurant, Forensic labs and even a cafe.
The History Society are also happy to announce that we will be getting archive space in the centre, and in return we will be transcribing archives for them.
